no one cares how you interpret AAVE. If you don’t know what it means it doesn’t make your interpretation valid or correct. Black people have been using the term ‘gas up’ for a while. Chance even used it during an acceptance speech so what we’re not going to do is come into my inbox with some faux Jewish crusade about how you felt reading a term that had nothing to do with you in the first place
