I avoid, on purpose, the roles that are just the wife, just the girlfriend, just the mother. We all have to earn our stripes. I did a bit of a turn as femme fatale for a few years, but I did it with some very talented and famous directors that I would have been idiot to turn those roles down. It’s a choice, is what I’m saying.
